This masterclass will allow delegates to form a better understanding of the important part nuclear generation will play in the UK’s sustainable energy future, together with the challenges and opportunities for FE education providers in helping to address the skills gap in STEM subjects. The presentations will also provide an insight into some of EDF Energy’s innovative training and development methods.
The events will include a guided tour of the Hinkley Point B Nuclear Plant in Somerset

With its, partners EDF Energy has advanced plans to build two new reactors at Hinkley Point B in Somerset. The Hinkley Point New Nuclear Development will create a new generation of skilled engineers, thousands of job and business opportunities and provide a real boost to the economy of Somerset and the South West.
