About the Host

EDF Energy is one of the UK’s largest energy companies and its largest producer of low-carbon electricity. We generate around one fifth of the UK's electricity and employ around 15,000 people, and we supply electricity and gas to around 5.5 million residential and business customers, making us the biggest supplier of electricity by volume.

EDF Energy is leading the way in nuclear power generation, which will play a key role in the UK’s energy mix: helping to address climate change while ensuring a secure and affordable energy supply.  With its, partners EDF Energy has advanced plans to build two new reactors at Hinkley Point B in Somerset. The Hinkley Point New Nuclear Development will create a new generation of skilled engineers, thousands of job and business opportunities and provide a real boost to the economy of Somerset and the South West.
