Petroc joins elite group of colleges with STEM Assured Standard
Industry often favours employing those graduating learners that possess more rounded STEM technical knowledge and skills. This is why Petroc College wanted to become a STEM Assured College and make their STEM students standout.
The STEM Assured Standard provides a robust framework that benchmarks and validates a college’s capability in delivering Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics curriculum through a range of programmes, activities and events.
Pené Prior, Petroc’s Director for Quality and Performance, said: “The STEM Assured Standard confirms to our students and to local employers and businesses that Petroc is delivering high quality education and training in these subjects, which are essential to the local economy. We are delighted to have gained this award through the hard work of all our staff across the college.”
