At a Westminster Briefing on the 14th March 2013, NEF’s CEO Professor Sa’ad Medhat addressed senior scientists, engineers, parliamentarians and policy makers on the importance of commercialisation of research and the role of different stakeholders can make in accelerating the return on research investments.
Prof Medhat said “We at NEF: The Innovation Institute would welcome the formation of Innovation Nodes that could provide an entrepreneurial support channel where SMEs, VCs, angel investors, education and training providers, could help in creating a shared vision.”
He also stressed not to ignore the role that FE Colleges could play in stimulating innovation across the SME landscape.
