The Institute of IKE announces Jean Llewellyn as a Founding Fellow

The Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange is delighted to announce Jean Llewellyn as a founding Fellow of the Institute.

Jean is CEO of the National Skills Academy for Nuclear, an organisation focused on developing and implementing innovative approaches to learning and development across the UK Nuclear Industry. She has a keen interests in the Nuclear, Manufacturing and Engineering sectors.

The National Skills Academy for Nuclear are constantly striving to innovate as can be seen from the work they have undertaken with the NEF in the development of a Quality Assurance process: NEF Assured (Nuclear) for employer training delivery, ensuring for the first time that employers can be confident in the quality and standard of delivery by other employers across the nuclear industry. NEF is keen to work with other sector representatives to tailor the assurance process for those sectors.

NEF Assured (Nuclear) is the industry specific standard for assuring deliverers of training in the nuclear sector. In partnership with the National Skills Academy for Nuclear, and recognised as quality assurance training standard in the Nuclear Skills Passport, NEF runs the NEF Assured (Nuclear) Standard. This outcome-focused standard helps organisations operating in the sector to enhance their approach to training. It recognises the need for continuous improvement and for training to impact directly on business objectives. A number of nuclear companies such Magnox North, Dounreay Site Restoration Limited (DSRL), Research Sites Restoration Limited (RSRL) have successfully achieved the NEF Assured (Nuclear) Standard.
