MAC Project Marks Great Future for Composites
NEF will be working with the FE City of Bristol South West Composites Pathfinder project to enable greater awareness of Manufacturing Advanced Composites (MAC) in the Further Education sector. Not only will NEF be bringing its wealth of experience in developing appropriate and relevant CPD for the sector through its Masterclasses and Industrial Fellowship programmes, but also its research expertise. NEF has recently launched 'Emerging Technologies;Emerging Markets. Are you ready for the opportunities?' which has some key messages for the FE sector to enable it to respond and deliver appropriate provision to answer the challenges of Emerging Technologies such as Advanced Composites.
Project Manager for the project, Paul Shakespear comments:
'Integrating the expertise of our industrial partners Advanced Composites Group with the proven delivery models employed by NEF will certainly provide a great opportunity for our growing network of provider partners to understand a lot more about the rapidly growing advanced composite market and then to undertake a structured development programme for key individuals. Together with an open access point for technical support, the Composites Gateway partners plan to provide the sorts of capability which will be essential to future industrial customers and individual learners in this emerging technology market.
